Up in Smoke was my personal favorite but there were so many Cheech and Chong movies and so many memories. Cheech & Chong’s Next Movie had me passing out with laughter (at least that’s my story and I’m sticking to it) and then there was It Came From Hollywood. Another winner. I think Still Smokin’ is my second-fave though. It just thumbed its nose at the establishment and was such a Jolly Rodger in the face of killjoys everywhere – and where else to make a Cheech and Chong movie but Amsterdam?!? No wonder there’s a coffee shop named after them now!
Cheech and Chong epitomize the popular image of the sun-addled Mexican-American dope fiend, with his colorful attire, cosmic outlook and distrust of “The Man”.
